The two form, what appears to be at first a tenuous relationship. Gallo, looking to appeal to the widest audience possible, has elected to script with a head for mediocrity, cribbing the template for "The Karate Kid" to round up John's story of self-discovery and artistic tutoring. Seriously, these two films could be matched up like a "Dark Side of the Rainbow" experience.Time has not been kind to the old master. His life appears pointless to him until the kid rekindles his interest in his work and ultimately gives him the will to live.


Gallo seems terrified of allowing "Color" a chance to truly plumb the depths of growing pains, so he inserts homosexual stereotypes (Ron Perlman doing a horrible Paul Lynde impression), half-realized "Summer of '42" love bites (played bravely by Samantha Mathis), and a suffocating score by Chris Boardman to anesthetize the audience so they'll sit for another round of painting technique debate.

"Color" also loves to swipe at art critics, and the screenplay waves its hands wildly to remind the audience of it.It's tough to muster sympathy for the characters when the actors sound like Andrew Dice Clay for reasons unknown.Together, they give one another a priceless gift.The kid learns to see the world through the master's eyes. And the master learns to see life through the eyes of innocence again.

So, go ahead and download Free Local Color, if you do have a speedy internet connection and enough space on hard disk. Me, I am gonna watch online Local Color as would like to tell my friends what happens on movie, before anyone rushes to theatres and all.
